Dr. A.S. Kalra has developed an astrology software for making Astronomical as well as Astrological calculations, for the development of which he's been awarded first prize by the Indian Institute of Technology - Roorkee (IIT-Roorkee) in 46th 'All India Techno Exhibition' (Srishti '05), (4-6 March, 2005) held in and organized by IIT-Roorkee.

This jyotish software has been developed in 'C' language & is quite different from the other horoscope softwares on Indian Vedic Astrology or Jyotisha available in the market. The power of this astrology software lies in doing in-depth Technical Analysis of a horoscope, which makes it quite useful for any practicing Astrologer.

This horoscope software can find out which planets are 'Aast' (Combust), which planets are 'Uchcha' (Exalted), which planets are 'Neech' (Debilitated), which planets are 'Svarashi' (present in their own signs), which planets are 'Dikbali' (hold power due to their presence in some particular direction) , which planets are 'Nishphali' (lost some of their power due their presence in specific houses), which pair of planets have exchanged houses & which planets are 'Sandhigat' besides giving other information that other softwares give & besides displaying Birthchart, Moonchart, other charts & 'Vinshottari Mahadasha-Antardasha' of 'Grihas'.
