Total span of Sun or Surya Mahadasha is 6 yearsTotal span of Moon or Chandra Mahadasha is 10 years
Total span of Mars or Mangal Mahadasha is 7 years
Total span of Mercury or Budh Mahadasha is 17 years
Total span of Jupiter or Guru Mahadasha is 16 years
Total span of Venus or Shukra Mahadasha is 20 years
Total span of Saturn or Shani Mahadasha is 19 years
Total span of Ketu Mahadasha is 7 years
Total span of Rahu Mahadasha is 18 years
This way if we add spans of dashas of all nine planets then total span of Mahadashas of all planets will come out to be 120 years but in today's world majority of people die much before finishing 120 years of age due to which majority of people can not observe dashas of all nine planets in their lifetime.
