Sidereal Sun or Niryan Surya in Jyotish or Astrology: -
If nearly 24° of ayanansha are not added to the degrees (position or coordinates) of Sun then Sun is called as Niryan Surya or Sidereal Sun in Jyotish or Indian Vedic Astrology. In Western Astrology, Saayan Surya is taken into consideration & it is also called as Tropical Sun.The term "sidereal Sun" refers to the position of the Sun in the sidereal zodiac system. The sidereal zodiac is a division of the sky into twelve equal parts, each corresponding to a specific constellation or star group.
In the sidereal zodiac, the starting point is the fixed star called the "Vernal Point" or the "First Point of Aries." This point is considered as the reference for measuring the positions of celestial bodies, including the Sun.
The sidereal zodiac takes into account the actual positions of stars and constellations as observed from Earth. It accounts for the phenomenon of precession, which is the gradual shift in the orientation of Earth's axis over time. Due to precession, the positions of stars and constellations appear to move slightly relative to Earth, causing a shift in the reference points for measuring celestial positions.
When we refer to the "sidereal Sun," we are specifically referring to the placement of the Sun in the zodiac sign according to the sidereal zodiac system. For example, if someone says, "I have a sidereal Sun in Aries," it means that, according to the sidereal zodiac, the Sun was in the constellation of Aries at the time of their birth.

The tropical zodiac, as mentioned earlier, is based on the vernal equinox and is widely used in Western astrology.
