What is Tibetan Astrology?

Two Main Systems of Tibetan Astrology
Tibetan Astrology is composed of two interwoven systems:
- Kar-tsi (White Astrology): Based on Indian Vedic astrology and Buddhist philosophy; focuses on planetary positions, birth charts, and karma.
- Nak-tsi (Black Astrology): Derived from Chinese astrology and Bon traditions; involves elemental animals, lunar cycles, and symbolic calculations.

- Birth Year Animal: Similar to the Chinese zodiac with 12 animals (Rat, Ox, Tiger, etc.)
- Elemental Influence: Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Iron, Water) influence the energy of each year and person
- Lunar Mansions: 28 constellations used for precise calculations
- Lo Charts: Astrological charts used to analyze an individual’s life path and karmic patterns
